Can you take Claritin and Mucinex together?

Can you have an allergic reaction to Claritin when you're older even though you took it when you were younger?

  • Now, I've heard many times that your body changes throughout the years as you age; hence why we need to take allergy tests whenever we dye our hair and other such things I suppose. For two weeks, I have had this annoying dry (although not hacking) cough. I've already taken Robitussin, but it didn't work, so I switched to Mucinex and that didn't work either. So, I'm wondering if I have allergies without even knowing it? My parents installed a new wood floor about a month ago, and I think if anything that could be the cause because I feel fine whenever I am outside and drink plenty of water. So, I bought some Claritin. What I am also wondering is if it is possible to have an allergic reaction to Claritin now if I took it when I was younger and was fine? Just thought I'd ask!

  • Answer:

It is possible you can have an allergic reaction. And there is a chance you could of out grew it. I would go see your doctor who can test you to see what you are allergic too :)
