How to quit gracefully just after getting promoted?

Should I quit my job?

• I work at a restaurant, and it has been stressing me out lately. I work 40 hours a week (in addition to having another job, going to college, and only being 20), they don't respect my views/desires, I've been trained to be promoted but they haven't actually done it, I've been there for five years and I've only gotten one 8 cent raise (three months ago), and it's really, really stressing me out. I know that it sounds obvious that I should quit, but although I have other jobs, they are seasonal - this is the only one that I have year around. Since I've been there for five years, it's easy; I know it. I have very bad OCD about change, so it would be hard getting used to dropping something that I've known for five years. It's money, even if it's not great money, and I'm paying for school without taking out loans, so I need the money. There are some regular customers that I would miss seeing. And lastly, although it would stress me out less, I would end up being bored all summer and sitting around the house doing nothing since my boyfriend works full time. It's a really hard decision for me. I need to save up money for a wedding and moving into a house in about a year. Should I just tough it out until I graduate school and get a real job, or should I get rid of it now and just relax? I can't figure it out. :/ Thanks.

  if you are mainly concerned about your OCD, the one thing you can do to help it is to quit your job. The OCD gets stronger the more you give in to it. Even though it is hard, try to work through it and it will pay off in the long run
