Help please! Job interview questions!?
-
Hi, I'm going in for a job interview at a restaurant for a hostess and I have some questions that I may have problems with. Any help would be greatly appreciated!! So, I have no prior work experience. NONE whatsoever. This will be my first interview for (possibly) first job ever. If the prospective employer asks me questions like: 1. "If there were another person with the same qualifications as you (same playing field) what makes YOU stand out and why should we hire YOU instead?" How should I go about answering that? Also, if a question like 2. "You have no work experience. What can you contribute/why should we hire you?" They probably wouldn't say that first part about the work experience but IF they did, how would I go about answering that? 3. Another question is for questions relating to my strengths/what I could contribute to the company, how could I form my answers into things that relate to restaurants/hosting? 4. If the question being asked was " How would working here a weakness you have/help you?" THANKS AGAIN!

Answer:
1. I believe I'm a really harder worker, it'd try my hardest to get the job done, I'm extremely realiable and I'm a work really good with people, a great people personn. 2. I just think it'd be a great experience for me I used to help out around my church during food jobs and it kind of pepared me to work around people and get task done 3. I can't answer that for you but here would be my answer -one of my strengths would be that I'm kind of a perfectionist and I love to get the job done the right way the first time. 4. One of weaknesses is that people tend to say that I talk to much so I have to try to limit the stuff I sayy.

Don't worry! I'm sure if you are calm and collected and respectable, you will get the job!...I just had my first job interview a few months ago at a coffee/snow cone parlor, and here is what they asked me: What hours would you be able to work? Would you be willing to go to a day of training before you begin? Why do you want to work here? What makes you the person for the job? Do you enjoy talking to people, or are you a people-person? Would you be willing to take out the trash or run errands if possible? Are you capable of keeping your station or table clean and in order? Would you be willing to take over the cash register if need be? Would you be willing to give me your cell number so I can call you in at any time? Would you be willing to become my friend on facebook? Okay, so this particular interview took about 20 minutes. You might want to also talk about your past experiences, such as volunteer work, or if you have good grades in school too. I know the facebook question sounds weird, but your employee wants to know that you can be trusted both online and off. I f you have anything BAD on your facebook page or photos, they would not hesitate to fire you. I didn't have any prior working experience either, but they loved my upbeat personality and my "helping people" attitude! They won't get mad that you haven't worked before, they are just interested in why you Choice to work with them. Be calm and tell the truth! Here are a few tips Dress professional: wear a nice blue blouse and black slacks with cute heels or flats for the restaurant, or jeans and a nice blue blouse with flats for the ice cream parlor. (*research shows that a light to dark blue make people like you better) Wear a little bit of makeup, to show what you would dress like for a normal workday. DO NOT OVERDUE THE MAKEUP!! this will give you a negative image Relax; if these people are interviewing you, they have interest. They want to hire you! So be calm and tell them why you are the one for the job. YOU WILL DO GREAT!!!! just smile, relax, breathe, and be professional :)

You can't have people that don't know you answer the questions! These are personal questions. Just be yourself and if they like you, they'll hire you.
