How do I upgrade from Internet Explorer 4.0?

I am running Internet Explorer 9 but youtube tells me I need to upgrade?

When I log onto YouTube it says I am running Internet Explorer 7 and that they are "ending support". The problem being I am running Internet Explorer 9 not 7. I even followed the link YouTube has listed to update my browser and the link has a pop-up stating that I am running a newer version than the link offers. Is anyone else having this problem? If I leave it alone and they end support, will there still be a problem or will the banner just goes away.

Try this: Tools>>>Internet options>>>Advanced tab>>>Reset This will return you to Bare Bones IE9. or reinstall IE9 start menu>control panel>programs>view installed updates>search: internet explorer 9>uninstall and reinstall from windows updates.
