How Do You Play Odds-and-Evens?

How to find people to play magic the gathering?

  • Details: I know how to play magic the gathering.I have been playing the electronic version of the game for over a year. Early this year I went to my local card game shop and bought a deckbuilders toolking and three or frour booster packs. With these I made a decent looking deck. With this deck I started playing with a couple of my friends. It was really fun. But now one of my friends has moved out of town and my other friend sold all his cards to start another tcg.I have no one to play with. I thought a good idea is to go to the trading card store and find people to play with.Close to myhome there are two trading card stores. I once happened to be in one of them with my amateur made deck. A guy who was there(who came for the friday magic night event) persuaded me to play with him. He was one of the bigest jerks I ve ever met. He was always braging about how cool and expensive his cards were and he did not stop for once calling me a noob and he was taunting my every move, saying how awful my cards and my strategy was(i had made it clear from the begining that I was a noob). After that two of his friends came and they had exactly the same style. They were even laughing at me that was a shock. And since the particular store's magic community was about 8-9 people and three of them where such jerks I figured there was no point starting playing there. Now there is another trading card store with a huge community. The people who worked there where really nice and said that we could play a couple of games together. But I can not keep playing with them because they work there and I feel I am waisting their time being such a noob. NOW the real question:I am really shy. How can I go to the second store and persuade people play with me?They are all pros with really cool cards. They seem like good people. But I can not barge in the place yellig"WHO wants to play with me". So how can I get evolved with the community so I can find a place to play? P.S:Sorry for the long answer
