How hard is the living environment regents?

How to get ready for Integrated Algebra and Living Environment regents?

• This year I am taking Integrated Algebra and Living Environment regents and honestly, I am sacred shitless. I have couple of questions as well to those of you who have taken these two exams in Freshman year. 1. Can you advise me some of great techniques I could use so I could master these papers? 2. This is kind of a logical question but, do they ever give different questions? (I know they change the format of some questions, but do they give hole new topics, or does the same questions repeat? 3. How hard was it to pass it and how long (questions) was each one of these exams? 4. Let's say you fail, do you have to repeat the class, go to summer school, or just retake the exam? What's the consequences. I am really scared, if you don't already see. Mainly for the Living Environment. I have learned NOTHING in my class, simply because my teacher sucks and makes us memorize vocabulary, techniques, labs, etc: instead of teaching us. What can I do in order to pass? Please help me. By the way, you don't have to answer all of the questions (if you don't know) but just tell me anything that you do know) It will be very helpful in the long run. Thank you.

  1. Study. Use the following resources: - previous exams and answers (available online); - books (I like the Barron's "Let's Review" series) - a private tutor (there's one I can recommend ;-)). 2. The questions are different on different exams. The *kinds* of questions are very much the same. Past exams should give you a very good idea what kinds and formats of questions to expect. 3. See the resources above. 4. If you fail, as many students do, you can retake the next time the exam is given. You will not be allowed to graduate if you haven't passed all the required exams by then.
