How do you start divorce proceedings in Kenya?

I was in the process of getting a divorce from my resident alien wife, she convinced me to stop proceedings?

  • When we got back together she talked me into going through the immigration naturalization process. about a month ago she received her green card, shortly after she received the permanent green card she went back to her old "stuff" and now (again) we are in the process of getting divorced. NOW THE QUESTION.....obviously she played a game in order to use me in order to receive a green card !!! If I file a formal complaint, will immigration take back the green card and start deportation proceedings against her ????

  • Answer:

Whoa, baby! Did you get suckered by a Green Digger (digging for green card & greenbacks). Twice! The only way out: do you have evidence that she only married you for a green card - for immigration & monetary benefits? GET IT! Get her admission on tape that she lied to you all along. Whatever it takes, get the evidence. Then hire a good attorney and file for ANNULMENT (not divorce!) on the basis of her defrauding you for immigration & monetary benefits. Have your attorney get a duplicate petition -date-stamped received (or filed) by the Clerk of the Court. Then you call ICE. Tell them as soon as your wife got her permanent GC, she finally admitted she had been deceiving & derfrauding you all along to get that GC. Therefore, you have filed for annulment based on her fraud and deception. Get the name & fax # at ICE so you can fax them a copy of the petition. Also fax an affidavit revoking your Affidavit of Support on the grounds that you were induced to sign by fraud & deception of the other party. This is the only possible way out, or she is in your wallet for years (which is what she wanted along with the GC). Even naturalized citizenship can be revoked if there is any fraud, deception, perury, forgery of supporting documents, etc, in any immigration-related application, interview, etc. Prove she committed fraud. Furthermore, annulment means the marriage was never legally valid, therefore, she never had any legal grounds for GC through marriage to begin with. Hurry up! The faster you put this together, the better. Also, now that you know she defrauded you, failure to act makes you a party to her fraud. Don't go there. Marriage fraud is 5 years in prison + $250,000 fine - for you! She only gets deported. File for that annulment most urgently!
