What is a good glaze to use for red clay?

I just started using red clay and I tested some of the glazes that I have.. The pink glaze turned to blue which i thought was very weird and the light green glaze really didnt show up.. maybe I didnt mix it well or didnt apply enough.. idk.. I would like some suggestions on what are some good color glazes for red clay.. Thanks...

We have to guess, or I do, that by red clay you mean terracotta which is one of the self coloring clays. Because of the color it is often left unglazed or is glazed with colors that are enhanced by the color - red, yellow, white that gets tinted.
