Traveling, what to buy?

My husband and I want to start traveling before we have more kids and buy a house in a few years. I have been to London, Paris and Munich, but went as a broke college student so I didn't bring anything back. We want to buy moderately priced souvenirs that are unique to each country, but we don't know what. What are some things that these particular countries are know for? 1: England 2: Germany 3: Italy 4: Mexico 5: China We plan to either decorate our future living room with a foreign theme, or have a study room with everything we buy. Historical type things are mainly what we want, as we are both passionate about history, and not just cheap trinkets if possible, thanks!!

For all countries listed and more: t-shirts, keychains, mugs etc. because they are easy to carry back.
