How do I become a lifeguard?

Okay so I've done a tiny bit of research and I know that the gold standard is the Red Cross lifeguard training but the problem is I have no idea where to get this training. I live in Santa Maria California and I would've thought that living in California we would have a lot of available lifeguard training facilities near me but not even the local YMCA has lifeguard training. How in the world do I find out where I can get proper training to become a lifeguard? I would also like to become a beach lifeguard which I believe requires an additional certification. Any help or assistance or ideas that you may have would be very appreciated thank you
