I am in a bind. Need a way out so that I can take classes at night and on Sat. See Below.?

I took a part time job not very far from home. The store is one I always dreamed of working in. However.. the opportunity took me by surprise as did the job opening for this place. I shopped there and been there several times. Well.. I was kinda taken away by the thrill of the moment. The hours.. vary. I am not clear on if the hours can be adjusted or not. I know upon interview I was told I can have two days off a week. I think.. I am expected to work both Sat. And Sun. Not sure if I can change this to just Sunday with my two days off during the week or not. I may have to ask. They did hire one other part timer besides me. I was told upon interview eventually in the near future here.. I would be going to homes to sell and bring with products for huge sales. I only get a lowish base hourly wage and 2% commissions which comes out to be about 11.00 an hour part time.. and an extra 2-300.00 when I alone go to homes. Which I am sure does not happen often. I also will most likely have to split the customers for this with the other new person. That being said.. I have been Extremely ... worried this is not going to be enough nearly for me to support myself and live off of . SO.. I decided firmly that I want to go to school at night and Sat for Cosmetology. Upon time of interview the owner was asking if I considered taking classes for something similar to their benefit. This decision of mine is not. I don't want to tell them what I plan to go for because they may feel they will get shafted here and either rebel by not allowing me time off.. OR.. look for someone else. So.. I was going to either say I am going to take classes at a County College at night and Sat. for business. How long do you think I would have to wait to say something? Because I had no plans of this at the interview. Also.. Worse Case Scenario....IF they don't allow me the time on Sat off and expect I go to homes at night in the evenings and find that I won't be able to do this... I may be let go.. IF>>> They won't or can't accommodate my schedule, (What types of jobs that I would like or enjoy.. similar possibly to this home decor store with a nice homey feel... can I get and live with that would be flexible around school in the evenings and Saturdays. I have to have two days a week off for my mom to bring her to the doctors. ( I would need a job that I start early in the morning.. can get two days off a week and Sat. off. ) I can work Sundays. It seemed to take forever to find and land this job. I am scared that I will be back to finding crummy jobs that are horrible. I was not sure where to look to keep my eyes open. I also did not want to wait so long to go to school because it will take something a little over a year at night longer that way.. which is the only schedule and school that has it that would work for me. Thanks. I know.. many part time jobs are flexible. I just don't know which would be most flexible. Thanks.

Answer:
There is always online classes. Not for cosmetology but you may be able to get your degree which you can apply somewhere else. Anything hands on you'll have to take night classes. I use to work for FIT and it was a good school. Although it's not cheap, make sure the school you go to is regionally accredited. Schools like everest, ashworth etc aren't accredited. Make sure if you use financial aid they utilize by term basis and semester credits not quarter credits. Do what you love. If you really want to be a cosmetologist and your job wont permit, I'd take out a loan that would sustain my life for however long school was and then pay it back when I was done.
