I want to know more about Pharmaceutical reps.

(I'm a girl) How many reps of weights should I do just to get toned!?

  • I'm a 17 year old girl..Im 5"3" and weigh 140 pounds..I want to lose 15 pounds..I work out for at least an hour every day or every other day (depending if I hurt or not) I do weights and then cardio..I work out my legs, arms and abs on the weight machines....I can do 45 pounds of weight on each machine..I just want to be toned, I don't want big muscles..how many reps should I do? And is 45 pounds to much or not enough?? Also should I do like more weight for my leg workout or keep it all the same weight?? I mostly just want to know how much reps to do..thank you for taking time to read my question..God bless :)

  • Answer:

i think the best option for you is to complete a 5 to 10min run on a treadmill, then go and complete your weight workout. i suggest 3sets of 12 to 15 repetitions as this will not build muscle but help you tone, also do not lift heavy weights stay at a weight that you feel comfortable lifting. cable machines arnt always the best things to use as its supported weight, try using free weights and using the mats to complete stomach crunch exercises. there is a website called muscle and fitness trainer which allows you to set up your own Program based on what you would like to get out of the gym.also its not just about the gym, the main work is done at home. you will need a good source of nutrition fruit veg and meat. this is to regenerate and build your muscles. try protein and creatine also to help this process.
