I need help deciding on a course for college. Help me please?

  • I live in the Philippines, so I need Filipinos to help me. This coming June I will be a third year high school student and I still haven't decided on a course yet. When I was a freshman I wanted to Theater or Music (Voice) because I love Musicals and I hope to be in one someday. I'm not bragging but I consider myself a great singer, my classmates, teachers and voice teacher do too. I know I can act because I've been in many starring roles in my school plays. My mother asked me what I wanted to take up in college and I half jokingly said Theater and she was like "no you need to get one that is more practical" or something like that. Then my aunt told me I could take up European Languages and since I really want to learn French, it was my choice for my whole sophomore year. Then just earlier, my mom told me that the only jobs I can have with that are teaching and being a call center agent and then she told me to take up Political Science (which I have no idea about). We are not rich, we see musicals from time to time and I go to a good school but I don't really have "nice things" I actually prefer it that way. I don't have a father and we live with my grandparents. My mom thinks that I am a genius but though I am the first honor in my class I don't really think that since I am not in the best section. She also expects me to pass the UPCAT and wants me to graduate in the University of the Philippines. I don't even think I will pass that! I need help and some information. If I take up theater in UP what will I study there and what jobs will I get? Same with music (voice)? I read somewhere if I take up Music I can learn a foreign language. Can someone explain what will I study if I take up Political Science? I don't really think I can be a lawyer! My mom also told me to think of Architecture and I am not good at drawing, but fairly good at drafting (we have a drafting subject in school). I need all the info I can get because I don't really know what happens in college! The only thing I know is that its so different from High school. I also need a back up plan if I don't pass the UPCAT. What other schools have those courses I mentioned that have good reputations and affordable? You can also suggest a course for me. I am great in most subjects in class my best are English, Math (I hate it!), Science, Computer (we study photoshop, flash and web designing) and sometimes Drafting. Yeah I talk a lot! Just help me please! The stress is eating me! Thank you in advance!
