Is it hard to get into a career college?

Honestly, What is the best possibly career to get into without a college degree?

  • I'm thinking about taking one or two years off from college, because my first year didn't go to well, and I just need to get my head straight. Maybe college isn't for me, but I don't want to work at McDonalds for the rest of my life you know? What would be the best business to get into that won't require a college degree? And if I realize I need one to level up in the business it would be a possibility, because I want to know what the world is like, So I might be able to apply myself, that much more when/if I return.

I don't know what the best, best career is, but you could do bail bonding and/or be an insurance agent, they're fun jobs and can be really rewarding. I'm hearing that being an insurance agent is really great from a lot of people. My hubby's family owns their own bail bonding company and insurance company and they don't have degrees. You could get into sales/marketing, you can make great money when you work really hard and put a lot of effort into it.

You may want to change your idea from career, to certain roles. There are many roles out there that do not require degrees that could potentially lead to future roles within an organization based on your hard work ethic and ability to learn the business. So rather than narrowing down your thoughts to a specific career path, what you may want to do is think on a more broader level and look at positions that may not require a degree. When I first started my career many years ago, I was a part time data entry person and because of my work and perseverance, I learned the business itself and made that my education and I was close to $40k annual WITHOUT a degree in the insurance industry at that time of my life. It was only after that experience, that I left the industry to pursue my education because I was older, had some experience under my belt, and was much more mature and had a reason to go to college, as well as the focus necessary to be successful in college at that stage of my life (I got my degree when I was 28, so much later than most folks probably).

Working in the oil industry pay very well without requiring a degree. Oil job openings are best in Alaska and North Dakota.
