My ps3 doesn't read disc anymore what should I do?

PS3 Disc accepts but won't read?

• Just now, my 120GB PS3 Slim started acting up. I put a disc in, be it movie or game, and it just either won't go in or goes in, spins for eight seconds and stops. Once it stops spinning I check under the game category and it doesn't say there is even a game in the PS3. Now there is a disc stuck in the machine and it won't eject from the eject button. I am not sure what to do and I really hope that this does not meant the end of my PS3. Thanks for your time.

  Your PS3's disc drive is malfunctioning. You either need a new laser lens or you need a whole new drive. Either way, it will cost about $100 to get this fixed. The good news is once the disc drive is repaired, your PS3 should work fine. Look online for PS3 repair services that offer at least a 90 day warranty, or better yet, a 6 month warranty. Before you send it away, make sure you do a full back up of your data to an external device, just in case they need to format your HDD. Message me if you need any more advice.
