What type of leather shoes are appropriate when working around chemicals in a lab?

• I will be working in a lab soon & was told to buy leather shoes/boots. I will be wearing a lab coat, glasses, gloves, etc, & I will be making glasses for customers, meaning that I will be working with chemicals. I was wondering if anyone can recommend a certain brand of leather shoes if you have possibly worked or currently work around chemicals. Any stores, links to websites, anything will really help. Just need a better idea of what is appropriate & what will be durable as well as comfortable. Thank you anyone for your help. p.s. I am young & a girl, & I would also like to be a little fashionable if that's possible lol

  Most leather shoes will be suitable and regular cleaning with shoe polish [wax] will help protect them. Good soles that won't slip on the floor are just as important. There are really no special shoes but it would be wise to avoid designs that are too open. Good luck with your new job!
