What are some good eating disorder related songs?

Are these symptoms related to my eating disorder?

  • I have an eating disorder classified as EDNOS, for I fit every symptom of anorexia except that I am extremely underweight although at this ratet in less then a month I will be classified as anorexic, unfortunately. Well my symptoms are that my leg bones are in extreme pain, I cannot go to sleep with this pain. It is so bad, i don't know what to do about it. And my gums are bleeding extensively every time I brush them and during the day they are really pale ( i do not throw up) My chest is in pain too, and I sometimes find it difficult to breathe. Are all of these related to my eating behaviors, or can it be something else? (I will be getting help for this by eraly to mid june, but for now I have to wait. i do not want this for myself for I hate it. It came one 6 weeks ago almost overnight, and i don't really know why. It is consuming my daily life, and I know how dangerous it is, but for now I just can't eat. The anxiety is overwhelming every time I put something in my mouth. Even though I know logically how much harm I am doing. What is your advice, multivitamins, or just ride out the pain and other symptoms til I get help?)

  • Answer:

you need to go to a doctor. Not a yahoo answers page. All of those symptoms are extremely serious and honestly your life could be in danger. Did you classify yourself with this disorder or was it something you were actually diagnosed with? I think you need to talk with your family and let them know about what is going on with you and tell a close friend so they can monitor you until you can get the help you need.

Yes, you are describing classic symptoms of a severe eating disorder. I hope the help you are going to get helps.

You are showing signs of severe malnutrition. It really is imperative that you not wait several weeks to get help. Your body is basically eating itself to try to stay alive. It is pulling protein from your muscles and calcium from your bones and potassium from your heart. Pale bleeding gums are because your blood is being affected. If you are already having chest pain, it is doing heart damage. Permanant damage, brie. Anorexic people usually die from heart failure secondary to malnutrition. Postpone your move if you must, just please do something NOW. THIS MORNING NOT THIS AFTERNOON. They can give you something for the anxiety but your body probably cant tolerate solid food right now. You will throw up which will just stress your heart more. If you can keep liquids down, you can try juices and smoothies and strong multivitimins and supplements which doctors can prescribe. Anorexia nervosa is a mental disorder (not crazy-just stressed) usually brought on by stresses that make one feel out of control. You say you dont want this...if you have no desire to loose weight and no distorted body image its not just an eating disorder. If you want to eat but are physically unable, it is a symptom of something and not a disease in and of itself. It can be anything from an infection to a severe anxiety disorder. You mentioned anxiety...maybe anxiety over something like moving brought it on. Just a guess but worth thinking about.
