How does the Taxman know how much is in your bank account?

I don't know my bank account number... will they let me withdrawal money from my banking account?(read more)?

• Bank of America So last week I lost my debit card somehow and I canceled it through the phone. Now my new one is on its way to me. I need to withdrawal money from my bank account to eat because I have no cash!!! I'm just nervous when I go to the bank and don't know it my account # how will they let me get money out of my bank account? what will they do? What should I bring besides an I.d? P.s I moved and the red folder they gave me is at 'home' in a different state and I don't have my checks with me.

  Um bring your ID/Drivers' Licence, social security card, proof of residency, a telephone bill or rent papers or receipt, your mother's maiden name, your DOB and there you go. Also how did you manage to cancel it on the phone? You do the same as you provide the phone rep with!
