What are some good hunger games/ harry potter party ideas for 13 year old girls?

• okay so i might sound crazy asking this, but i was just thinking about it and decided to ask this: so im throwing my annual halloween party with like 6-8 13/12 year old girls (sleepover) and i wanted the theme to be harry potter/ hunger games, but even though we are all kids at heart, we need ideas for what to do im guessing the 1st hg movie and i have all the hp movies, so we can have a movie marathon, um we can do some kind of sorting, and i just want everyone to have fun and not get bored...not everyone read all the books, so no trivia...it's going to b a costume party, but since its a halloween party its going to be all halloween costumes like i might go as perry the platypus rachel berry or Dorthy Gale and wear a hogwarts robe over it...so yeah ideas please! costume ideas wouldnt hurt either

  I think it's cool that you're into HP/HG and want to do a party them as that :) As far as things to do goes, I have a few ideas that you could try. Apart from the movie marathon, depending on if you're guests are all going to arrive at the same time or not, greet them at the door with gift bags filled with Harry Potter goodies. Maybe Bertie Bott's Beans (Which you'll all have a lot of fun with, trying to guess what each flavor is, especially since there's some disgusting ones!) Do a sorting ceremony. You can use any old hat if you don't have a replica Sorting Hat. Have each guest put it on, and ask them a series of Potter-related questions. Example: What pet would you bring to Hogwarts, what would be your favorite spell, etc. And then sort them in a Hogwart's House. After they've been sorted into their houses, you can give them pins to wear, each pin representing a different Hogwarts House. You can search online to find easy ways to make pins. Make sure before the party starts, you have plenty of Harry Potter-themed snacks. You can make your own Pumpkin Pasties, Cauldron Cakes, gummy slugs, etc.. Or buy real ones! They make harry potter candy that you can find online, and SOME candy stores. Decorate the house in Harry Potter-themed decorations. Late at night, you can all gather around and prank call people. It can be as cheesy as you like, for instance "We are pleased to inform you that you've been accepted to Hogwarts." or "Do you know where I can find Harry!? Harry Potter? What have you done with him!!!?" Just be creative, and look online for some ideas, i'm sure you'll come up with something! Have fun =] (A creative costume that would be for Harry Potter, is to paint your skin white, wear a long black wig, and put an old toilet seat around your neck. Then you're Moaning Myrtle! =P )
