How to get the album art of mp3 file?

How do you remove the album art from .mp3 files in Windows 7?

  • On my computer, I recently downloaded a few tracks from a video game I like, and all the songs have album art attached to them. Now, here's the fun part; I already know that album art is usually stored in a separate file or a hidden folder. So, I went and turned on all the viewing options, and turned off ALL the hiding options, and I still can't find the album art. I REALLY don't want to have to go through all the songs I got and remove the album art by hand, and I am not allowed to download iTunes. If someone would be willing to help me, that'd be awesome! Thank you!~

  • Answer:

Since you couldn't find the "hidden" album art,(.jpg files) that means they were probably embedded in the MP3 file and you need an ID3 tag editor to remove them. There are several freeware products available, such as Mp3tag, SimpleID3, Tagscanner, etc.See this link: http://www.winhelponline.com/blog/remove-mp3-album-art-embed-images/
