Can I Do A Different Kind of Schooling?

What kind of job can I do that just requires mainly online classes, and not a lot of schooling?

  • I'm looking for something that I could do online, and be able to get a degree in pretty quickly. I can't do nursing, because I cant deal with the needles and such. And also something that is always in need, no short supply of jobs.

    A degree is going to take at least 2 years (associates degree) or 4 years (bachelors degree) whether you do it online or not. You could attempt to get various computer certifications, some of which take 6 months or thereabouts. EDIT: Just make sure that any degree you might look into is given by an accredited college or university. Online degrees are now accepted by almost any employer - as long as the school is accredited - in fact, a degree from the University of Michigan online is exactly the same as a degree from the University of Michigan on campus (and to give you an idea of online acceptance, the University of Maryland - University College is the main supplier of degrees to our service people and its online cybersecurity degree is designated as a Center of Excellence by the government). Remember that nowhere on the degree does it say "earned online."

Many employers do not take online studies and online degrees seriously - simply because tutor and student never meet and there is no personal contact whatsoever, and this leads many people to believe that an online degree, if not a total scam, is certainly much less genuine that a degree worked for and earned in the normal way. Breaking it down, people can get a "degree" online that they are not capable of earning in a real life college/university situation

An online degree means nothing to employers. You will not get hired if you go to school online. You will have no experience. Taking online classes is like flushing your money down the toilet. You would be better off taking classes at a community college.
