What does it require to be a receptionist?

Job in health care that do not require a degree?

  • Im looking for a job in a doctors office or a clinic that doesn't require a degree. I know a receptionist doesn't but are there any other jobs in an office or clinic other than a receptionist that doesn't require a degree? Thanks!!:)

  • Answer:

Degree or some education? Not that many. Even a receptionist really needs to have some experience or further training in billing and coding. Medical assistant will require about a year of education.

You could take the CNA course (Roughly a month) Getting a job as a CNA with a nursing home would be ideal. Most of them would pay for you to get your LPN (1 year but roughtly 16-23$/hr.) Unless you want to be a medical assistant, but I really would not recommend that.
