My newborn is 7 weeks old he has this mucus like stuff coming from his left eye. His doc said a clog tear duct?

Are you breastfeeding? If so squirt a few drops of breastmilk in his eye, it will clear it up. I'm not kidding, this worked for my daughter even after the prescribed ointment didn't help

my son had that, he couldnt open his eye and it looked so bad but the doctor said just to get a warm cloth and rub his eye, like rub the corner of his eye a few times a day and it will go away. it went awaay really fast like a day or two after

My son had it too. Rub your finger up & down the inside corner of his eye and the side of his nose. That will help push the mucus out. I also read that you could put a drop of breast milk in his eye. My son is 15 weeks & his eye has cleared up.

boiling water and cotton wool, then wipe the eye over, obviously let it cool first and squeezed the water out of the cotton wool, just so its damp should clear up soon on its own anyway but its just to keep it clean and help the process
