What Is Parchment College Chances?

Will my sophomore year greatly effect my chances of getting into a good college? 10 pts BA?

• Freshman year in high school, I had straight As, average 4.2-4.3 GPA. I took 2 honors classes, and 2 regular classes. This year, my sophomore year, I'm taking a college chemistry class, which i'm doing atrociously in. I had an 85 starting out first quarter, then it lowered... Anyways, I started out with a 4.1, then 2nd quarter 3.8 then last quarter 4.0. I'm taking a college class, 2 honors classes, and a regular math. Chances are, this last quarter I'll get below a 4.0 again. How much will this effect my chances? I'm extremely involved, I'm in orchestra, choir, I'm in 3 clubs and National Honors Society, I volunteer at 2 different places year round. I'm extremely worried...I plan on eventually becoming a lawyer. But for college, I want to go to the University of Pittsburgh in Pennsylvania. That is my top pick. Next year I'm take 2 APs, one college, and one regular class, along with the same classes I'm taking now, french, orchestra, choir. Can I get into Pitt? I have a D currently in chemistry, it's a 68, I'll try to raise it.

  Your GPA isn't bad, but the classes that really only matter are AP/Dual Enrolled ones. So get that chemistry grade up, or you will regret it later...
