Why has my package not arrived from FedEx yet?

  • Okay, you guys, I made a small online order with the store Tilly's since there isn't one where I live. I'm not new to online shopping. I do it all the time and I've had delays before, but this time it seems a little ridiculous. They shipped with FedEx smartpost and here are the most recent tracking details: May 12, 2012 8:16 AM - At U.S. Postal Service facility - HARRISON, TN - Arrived at local Post Office - Allow one to two additional days for delivery Well, it is now May 17 and I have yet to receive my package. The 12th was Saturday and I thought "Oh, well the mail doesn't run on Sunday so I'll get it Monday for sure." Nope, nothing. I just don't understand why my package is just sitting at the post office, 5 or so minutes away from my house for 5 days. I mean, it's a small package. The weight indication on the tracking page says it's 0.2 lbs/.1 kg. All they have to do is pop it in my mailbox. So why am I having to wait so long, and should I contact the post office? I don't drive, otherwise I'd just go pick it up or something. And if I tell my mom she'll just tell me to be patient.

    Yes, it should have come by now. SmartPost is a way that the FedEx packages come on a pallet together. Since it arrived Saturday, there is a good chance they didn't unwrap the pallet until Monday. But it should have been sorted Monday and delivered Tuesday. If it does not come in today's mail, call the post office. Even better, if you can talk with your carrier at the curb, ask if it was delivered. It is possible it was taken from your mailbox. Or it could have been misplaced since it is so small.
