Why is my rib cage deformed?

Y can i feel my cats rib cage? (also, another question thats not part of it, but just wanna know why)?

  • okay, first things first, she DOES eat and i do feed her,she eats like theres no tomorrow actually, but, i can feel her rib cage when i put her on my chest, and i rub her side and all, and i can feel her rib cage, why is that? also, i know this isint part of the question, but, also, why does she eat bugs? like, she eats ( as i saw) moths, those flying cocruches ( how ever its spelled) and a lot more, why does she do that?

    It's actually good to be able to feel her ribs (as long as they're not sticking way out) This is how you know if your cat is a good weight or needs to loose weight. Cats are hunters, it's their instinct to hunt and kill. My cats love to hunt and play with bugs, but then get bored and let them go- so I have angry spiders looking for revenge

It's definitely not bad that you can feel her ribs. In my experience with cats, however fat they are, I can still feel their ribs. Maybe they just don't really gain weight there. As for catching bugs, I'd say that that was just a cat's general instinct to hunt. You're lucky it's just bugs. My cat brought a squirrel into the house last week.

1. You can always feel a cat's ribcage. 2.Shes a cat. Cats eat bugs, and mice, and whatever they can get their paws on.

Don't worry about the ribs that's quite normal. She's eating bugs because they are full of protein and all cats love them. Just make sure that you keep her regularly wormed.

1) Cats do eat moths - bugs etc. 2) If she eats, play and act normal then there cant be any problem. May be she is a thin cat! : )

Its fine as long as she eatting right she should be fine, if she starts to stop eating I'd take her to the vet. My cat eats bugs also its normal for them to do that
