Whats average cost for one person to live in seattle?

  I looked at zillow and in downtown it is hella expensive but as you look in the other core districts like Queen Anne, Capitol hill and University district you can find an old but livable 1 bedroom apartment for 950 dollars a month. If you are living on your own than I suggest a studio and they go around 650-750 a month. A lot of apartments in Seattle do not come with parking and they cost an additional 95 dollars. Economically Seattle is good if you are the type who saves more than spends because there is no state income tax and I heard the minimum wage in Seattle is really high. If you are a spender then yikes, sales tax is really high 9.5%. Food can be expensive too, I live in Honolulu and food is already expensive here, my professor from Seattle told me groceries are way cheaper in Seattle but eating out is the same price as Honolulu which doesn't make sense according to him because if raw foods are cheaper, prepared foods should also be cheaper to make but it's not so try to eat out less.
