• I need some tips on writing poetry. How can I make a good poem? I like writing about nature and the ocean. I'll write a poem and I just don't think it sounds good enough :/ I need some tips on how I can write a good one please help. Thank you.

  "Nature and the ocean?" Haha, I think the ocean is nature too. Anyways, it'll be better if you posted some of your works for us to see where you stand. I learnt a lot of thing relating to poetry here in the internet. But Google searching 'How Can I Write A Good Poem' won't do any good (Wikihow offers a 12-step guide to writing a poem :P). But this page is good only for basic definitions: http://www.squidoo.com/how-to-write-poetry If you're truly interested, buy a lot of books relating to poetry ('Beautiful and Pointless' 'All Fun's in how you say a thing' 'An introduction to poetry') and keep reading classic and contemporary poems (Some of the poems are found in print only). The most important thing is to wait for inspiration. Don't write just because you're bored. Write only because you're inspired. You'll hopefully understand this later on. Keep writing.
