Can someone please tell me how to turn my computer back on?

I have a toshiba laptop and I was watching a YouTube video with iTunes running and all of a sudden my computer turned of but the charging battery light is still on. Can someone please tell how to turn it back on PLEASE!!!

Not absolutely sure but give this a try. Remove the power cord and the battery. Wait a few minutes and then plug the power cord back in without the battery and try turning the computer on. If it does start, shut is down and remove the power cord, reinstall the battery and then the power cord and see if it works. If it does, all is well. If it doesn't, you need the help of a professional repair tech.

Pressing the power button works wonders. If that didn't help, the computer probably froze. Depress and hold the power button for about 5 secs to force it to shut down. Wait for about 3 secs and then turn the power back on. If that still didn't help then you have a bigger problem. Remove the battery, keep the charger plugged in and turn on the computer. If still no joy, you have a motherboard issue and that's beyond your capability to fix it. Take it to the shop for repair.
