Who do I contact to get a division of Wildlife permit?

  • I would like to get an exotic pet. Like a skunk or a fox ^_^. I want to do it legally , so I need a permit. Where on earth do I go to get ??? Now don't be like spoiled brat you don't need one! Get a dog or something! Lol XD ! Just so you know I'll be saving up the money for awhile the pets are extremely expensive. It will probably take years. Theirs nothing like planing ahead so that's why I need to know. I really want a skunk, ever sense I saw Elly may from beverly hilbillies on tv with a scunk I've always dreamed of having one.

    I have a skunk... and a permit, I just go to the Dept. Natural Resources in my area and get one. He's a crazy lil' creature and every night he gets to come out and free roam the house, he's smart and I have to make him things. I make him thing and hide his food in it so he has to figure out how to get it. He follows me around the house, climbs on the couch, chases me around, pushed the dogs out of their food dish, plows open the bathroom door every time I go in there, give me skunk kisses, snuggles with me, I have to give him bugs, cook his meat & veggies, give him special vitamin & minerals, and I ♥ him so much.

Contact your local DNR they will tell you what you have to do to get a permit Also remember to you study up on any animal before getting it as a pet (Department of Natural Resources) go to a search engine and type (your state) dnr website for example the state i live in is wisconsin so mine is dnr.wi.gov

That would be federal Dept. of the Interior / Fish and Wildlife, but you'd never get a permit for fox or skunk as they both carry rabies. Skunk in fact is a reservoir for it.
