What are some affordable around-the-ear headphones?

Headphones that are affordable with great sound quality?

  • I'm looking for some good quality headphones that are affordable, maybe around the price range of $15-$30. The thing is I highly dislike in-ear headphones so its been kind of difficult to find a good pair of regular headphones. If anyone knows where I can find good quality and cheap out ear headphones(like the apple headphones) please, do tell. P.S. I have tried those cheap $10 Sony and Panasonic headphones you can get at Wal-Mart and their quality is really bad so none of those please.

    If REAL quality is an issue, please go for REPUTABLE brands only such as B&W, Sennheiser (most affordable), Shure, Grado, Denon, AKG, Audio-Technica, Etymotic or Beyerdynamic. Things like Klipsch, Sony, Panasonic, JVC and Philips are ONLY "okay-ish" indeed.

Hey Musical Melodies, I feel your pain I bought a set of those ones that wrap around your ear the sound quality was fair but after just a week the one speaker quit working because the wires in the cord had separated.. Funny thing is I never even wrapped them tight or anything else that would lead to a damaged wire. Anyhow I went ahead and did some research for you and made a post on my website. Great Question!! Personally, my favorite is Skull Candy. They are easy to find in stores and they come in tons of colors! They also are reasonably priced and have awesome sound quality.
