Good Audition Song For Belle?

  • I need a good audition song for the role of Belle from Beauty and The Beast. I am a 1st soprano, 15 years old, Belle is my dream role and I have worked so hard for this role. I always get the bratty, mean, or flirty girl roles(except for one role last year) so I need to prove I can do a good girl! We can't sing a song from the musical and we only get 30 or 45 seconds to sing. Any ideas would be very helpful..... (I can't sing, Don't Rain On My Parade, I Could Have Danced All Night, The Rose, You Light Up My Life, Our Song, Without You from My Fair Lady, Good Morning Baltimore, I'm Yours, or Defying Gravity. I have already sang those for auditions in the past. I can't think of the few others but you get the idea.)

    Without you from Rent, On my Own from Les Miserables (somewhere in the middle or the end though where it's higher would be my recommendation). 2 and 4 from the musical Swing! is fantastic! Very upbeat and fun. I can hear the bells from Hairspray is good too. Kinda cheesy but good. I'm auditioning for Belle in June! you shouldn't be singing pop songs. You should be singing theatrical songs. Other than that, pick something similar to Belle's character.
