Gmail: How the hell do you copy emails with detail?
-
I use gMail for work. I copy and paste emails to a separate work application to indicate that I have made effort to communicate with customers. Before the gMail revamp a couple months ago, I could simply copy the email and it would include: --- Date: xx/xx/xxxx Subject: xxxxxxxxxxxxx From: senders full name, sender's email address To: recipient's name, recipient's email address <message body> <signature> --- But now when I try to copy, I get hardly any info. If I try to use the "message garbled" feature, it lacks the recipient's info. If I "show original" I get all this extra useless detail I don't need to reference and have to delete. There are work arounds but when you send 30-50 emails a day, it gets really inefficient to have to delete unnecessary info. Is there a way to get back the simple functionality I had before the revamp? All I need is the info I mentioned above. Thank you.

Answer:
i am certain there is a way and will send you later as fed up of it myself now going to leap into action.... well ok going to figure the correct settings and will pass info onto you later :) Well kind of found something that will lighten your work load hope cheers you up a little:) If go to settings go to labs near the top is an app you can enable called " quote selected text " if enable then save close your address to make the changes now when opening an email just simply drag to highlight what info wish then paste so yeah should put a smile on your face? :) Also if look through your settings can minimise the amount of info displayed in your email too:)
