Tumblr video resolution? HD?

I tried to upload a video in Tumblr with 1440x900 and after it reached 100% of uploading the page said error. But when I tried to upload a video with 640x480 video before it worked. Is it because of the size of the vid? If it is what is the best size to upload an HD video? :D Thank you in advance

I think you may have hit the file limit of 100Mb. Reducing the resolution would help. HD comes in 2 sizes: 720p is 1280x720 and 1080i and 1080p are 1920x1080 720p should be enough for you unless the video is very short and it comes in at under 100Mb at 1920x1080 resolution
