Can I make a lot of money selling stuff on Ebay?

• My phone broke a long time ago and my parents refuse to buy me a new one because they think i'm not mature enough to handle it seeing as i've already gone through 2 phones in the past couple of months. i lost the first one , and left the second one at my bus stop twice. but i love texting so i decided to buy a prepaid phone. but i have no way to earn money unless i get it from my parents and they won't give it to me if they know what i'm buying. i heard you can make a lot of money selling stuff on Ebay. is that true? please help out(: the phone is $30 plus a $50 unlimited everything plan plus a sim card from Net10<3

  There are people earning a nice living on eBay, but it's not as easy as it sounds. If you know what to look for and can obtain it at a low enough price, you can make money. Another barrier to making it on eBay is it's fee structure. There is a fee just for listing an item, then IF it sells, there is a final value fee which is a percentage of the selling price. Then they "strongly" encourage you to use Paypal. Guess who owns Paypal. When the funds arrive to your Paypal account, you are hit with another fee for using Paypal. See what I mean? Many "fees" eroding your profits. Good luck.
