Can I use a dish (sky) if I watch to use my free view box or DVD player to receive free view channel?

A Sky box, Freesat box, or a TV with Freesat built in will work off your dish. A Sky box will also allow you to watch the same channel and control the Sky box from another room, with additional aerial cable to that room plus a thing called a "magic eye" which allows you to use a Sky remote control from the other room connected.

Like Danny said except you can watch sky freeview channels without a sky viewing card.

Go to cash converters and buy a sky box, provided the arieil is in fact you will receive the sky freeview channels provided the purchased box comes with a sky viewing card.

You need a satellite receiver , not a DVD or freeview box.

These are two different, incompatible systems. For Sky you need a satellite dish and receiver. Freeview is received in the conventional way through an ordinary roof-mounted UHF aerial and a Freeview receiver box or digital TV. Aerials are certainly not finished. Take a look around your neighbourhood and you will see hundreds of them still in daily use.

You need a freesat or Sky box to receive from the dish. To receive Freeview on those boxes or your TV, you need an aerial. Yes, there still is broadcast TV in the UK.
