What are some jobs that use 3D modeling?

What 3D Modeling careers are there besides Games and Movies?

• I graduated in 2004 from Full Sail University with an Associates in Computer Animation. Everything I learned there was geared towards Movies and Video Games for the most part. My interests changed after I graduated and my skills diminished. I can definitely say I got side tracked due to my age at the time. Maturity definitely wasn't where it need to be for a college graduate and it hurt me. Now Id like to use my degree in some capacity. But I know I don't want to be in the movie or game industry due to how cut throat it is, time consuming, there always seems to be studios closing or getting bought out, I just don't have the drive or want to jump through constant hoops to keep my job, and I like having a constant social life. Pretty much Id like a 3D modeling career that for the most part is Monday through Friday. I can handle some weekends if there is a deadline that needs to be met but it doesn't feel like a constant crunch time. AutoCAD seems like it'd fall into that type of category for jobs but I have never messed with it. I learned Maya in school and self teaching 3Ds Max. And I prefer Environmental modeling over characters. Id probably go back to school if I knew what to narrow my options down to and if I can afford it. Student loans are killing me as it is. And the final problem is Tech School vs normal college. I like Full Sail due to the fact that all schooling related to the degree. I hate writing essays and taking classes that for the most part Ill never use. But I know tech schools are expansive. Trust me I know, I'm paying for it now. So that's it. Any input would be much appreciated. I'm 28yrs old and I don't want to waste anymore years working retail and hating getting up every morning for work.

  i would suggest you look towards the exhibition industry. obtaining someone with the relevent skills is hard there are many persons that do not give it a single glance, yet it is a lucrative/profitable business to be in. .
