Can I get a keyboard layout like on the ipad on an android tablet?

I like android tablets way better than the ipad. However, the one thing I enjoy about the ipad is their touchscreen keyboard. It is very responsive and the layout works very well to mimic typing on a physical keyboard. The android tablet's touchscreen keyboards are spaced a bit strangely and far apart so I end up misspelling a lot of words. Is there a way I can get a similar keyboard onto an android tablet?
