What are summers in Vancouver like?

Summer in Toronto and Vancouver?

  • Hello, I am planning to migrate to Canada on student visa but as I looked on websites about weather I found Vancouver is better than Toronto in summer I am unable to tolerate harsh sun rays so a little bit cold summers are preferable Education wise also which region is more suitable?     The sun's rays are equally strong in both cities in summer or winter, although Vancouver temperatures are milder in winter with less snow and more cloud. Vancouver has more cloudy days than Toronto. Use sunblock or wear a hat as the locals do - baseball caps are very common,, and their peaks protect the face from the sun ... Both cities have excellent universities with world-wide strong academic reputations. Choose the city based on the education you wish to pursue, NOT on the weather. You will only be in Canada for a few years,, but your education will be with you for life ...

Vancouver weather is much nicer than Toronto weather. I live in Toronto, it gets pretty hot here in the summer. I avoid leaving the house during the mid-day hours, when the sun is out. It is just too hot. You'd probably prefer Vancouver. I know I would, if I could afford it! :P
