On facebook, is there a way to hide photos you've been tagged in but allow check-ins to be visible to friends?

Answer:

If you go to the particular picture in question, you can untag yourself. It's unlikely the person who tagged you in the first place will bother looking back and re-tag you. If they do, you'll get another confirmation that they have. If you want to share a particular picture without tagging yourself, you can always click to share and then customize who you want to see it. Other than that, I don't know another way.
