Why my car cuts when shifting into neutral?

As im slowing down while driving and shift into neutral, the car cuts off. Can the brakes effect this?

The "neutral safety" transmission switch prevents the car from being started in any gear except park and neutral. So the switch could be bad and need replacing. Find your "neutral safety" switch at http://www.RockAuto.com
