How do you get a video you make on Windows Movie Maker onto Youtube?

Windows Movie Maker Problem?

  • Hi guys...here's my story: I recorded a song yesterday and today recorded video clips of me playing the instruments. I am trying to sync the video clips together to the MP3 of the song I made to create 1 video clip (like people do on youtube). So I go into windows movie maker and I encounter a problem....when I play my windows movie maker project video in WMM from the very beginning, my 2nd clip (a drumming clip) does not sync perfectl with the drumming on the audio file, but if I go to any part other than the very beginning (like the 5 second mark for example), then the drumming clip looks to sync with the audio well. The issue here is the MP3 I found. If I play it from the beginning, and listen to what part plays at exactly the 10 second mark, then start the video at the 5 second mark, that same part will play maybe .25-.5 seconds later than it did before, so if it played at the 10 second mark before, it will play at the 10.4 second mark this time. When I export the file into an official video file, the part will play at the 10 second mark, so when i play the file in WMM at the beginning everything is correct. The problem is it is slightly messing up the timing of the MP3 when I play the file halfway through in WMM. And in order to put 50 different video clips into 1 video at the exact times of the MP3 file, I need to be able to play the file in the middle over and over again in order to get a good sync for each clip. It would take ages to start the file from beginning to end every single time I make a change to the timing of each clip coming in.... Does this make sense? Can anyone seem to help? I dont understand why its doing this...if anyone is able to help I will love you, have your babies, and give you 10 points. thank you

  • Answer:

convert the video to the same format with a video converter, in your case im guessing its avi video format taken from a hand held device....the video converter will convert it with a high compression....in other words convert the avi video to avi, it will also add windows codecs to the video http://www.any-video-converter.com/products/for_video_free/ Watch tutorials on youtube on how to use the converter...its freeware btw
