Best way to learn how to speak Spanish?

  • I am looking to find a good way to speak Spanish, because I plan on becoming a police officer, and it would look better if I had language other than English, so does anybody know the best and easiest way to learn how?

    I'm almost the same as you. I'm also trying to become a police officer and I have to try to learn Spanish also. I've found that the BEST way to learn it is to find some friends that you can talk to who are native Spanish speakers. I have few friends like that and they have taught me a lot. Another way that has helped me learn is using Google Translate (as unreliable as it is), but I usually only use that to look up specific words because it's not very "smart" especially when it comes to the Subjunctive and reflexive pronouns. One last way I learn, is I bought a book on all the different tenses in Spanish and it has a bunch of examples and some practice sentences that I can write myself. So instead of spending about $500 on a program to learn Spanish, the only thing I had to actually BUY was that book for about $15.. So I hope this was all helpful and good luck! :)

They have on-line classes, and some local high school have adult classes, and may have spanish. I took 4 yrs of it in high school, loved it, and took 3 more yrs in college--have been to Spain and Mexico. I watch Telemundo and Univision--2 spanish tv stations. I would google 'basic spanish phrases' and start there.

The best way is to have a Spanish friend... u hear it all the time that's how I learn I try everything even rosseta stone and don't focus on the verbs go straight for frases!

I think you should go to a spanish school, I'm from Mexico speak spanish if you need help with your spanish I can help you, I'm trying to learn english

You can get CD's to help you learn languages. l'm sure you could find one if you typed it into Google.
