When medical science discovers chemicals in nature that can treat disease, they study them and develop medicine that works, can be regulated, controlled, mass produced and with risks and side effects established. This does not happen in alternative medicine where everything is mostly based on traditional use with little or no supporting science. Science based medicine does not talk about mysterious "life force energies", "meridians", "blocked chakras", "subluxations" or other such new age rubbish that simply do not exist.
