How can I get more new customers as a driving instructor?

• I need to get more customers for my small driving school. Traditional methods have dried up and the phone no longer rings like it once did. How can I get new customers - what are the steps I need to take? Help! and thank you.

  Doing something to stand out is KEY today due to the overwhelming amount of noise. Have you decided exactly who your best customers are? Once you have a clear target you can begin to answer the questions that they have about your service in the "new media" formats videos, articles, press releases, or webinars that they would most likely be familiar with. Next would be distributing these little micro stories about your service on places that your audience is likely to frequent like, a simple website (wordpress), consider searches for your keywords targeted to your local service area and type of business, then there's youtube, facebook, google+, twitter etc. Marketing today is all about telling "your unique story" in a way that connects directly to your customers and clearly makes the case for how you solve the problem that they have, and why you are their best choice
