What are the top 10 girl games?

Games to play with both 5 year old boy & 9 year old girl...10 pointer?

  • Recently they dont want to play the same thing, though they insist on playing together, the boy wants to play lego (star wars, harry potter) or cars whilst the girl wants to play dolls. Ive tried making up stories to include the lego and the dolls, tried looking for a film instead. Any ideas!? They're generally tired after school too so nothing to active.

  • Answer:

There are lots of board games and card games out there that can be suitable for both ages and genders. Uno, like the other person suggested, Monopoly (you don't have to play the whole game and can alter it so the 5-year-old can play--our kids, who are 9, 7, 5, and 4, love to play it), Sorry, Memory, and many, many more that I can't even name because there are so many different games out there now. And there's nothing wrong with letting them combine their game any creative way they want to. My boys and girl are often combining superheroes with princess play or making up any number of stories and ideas from the character they want to be. There's always artwork and crafts also. And I have a hard time believing they're so tired after school that riding bikes or playing kickball or four-square or jumping rope would be too much. My kids come home from sitting in school all day for seven hours and all they want to do is get outside and run around.
