In demand jobs in Ottawa, Canada.. Nurses aid/other?

I'm a US citizen looking to get permanent residency in Canada. I'm a high school graduate with some college, a semesters worth. What jobs are in demand that I would be applicable for in the Ottawa area? I work as a CNA now and was wondering if my certification would count in Canada since I got it here? Is there a demand for CNAs there and do they get paid well? If not, what other jobs would be an option until I get a degree?

Nurses are in high demand in Canada right now, especially in Ottawa. I am from there and I know this. And, on the list of degrees and skills required to get into Canada, being a nurse is on that list for sure.
