What is the best hollow body electric guitar under $600?

How much should i offer for this used Jackson guitar?

  • its a USA made Jackson SL2 with Alder body,Ebony Fretboard, pearliod inlays, Seymore Duncan pickups. http://www.musiciansfriend.com/guitars/jackson-sl2h-custom-usa-guitar he was selling it for $1200, i know its a very good guitar (even if it wasnt made in Japan) but i want to offer $600 for it , would that be too low-balling it? and also i found a Jackson DK2 for $300 OBO, made in japan, rosewood, alder body, floyd rose, etc. http://www.interstatemusic.com/26506-Jackson-Pro-Series-DK2T-Dinky-Electric-Guitar-w-Hard-Tail-Black-B-Stock-2911006803.aspx?sku=GTS2911006803B&source=Single+Feed_CASCIO&utm_medium=shoppingengine&utm_source=pricegrabber it would be my second choice, but ive always dreamed of owning a soloist so idk what do you think?

  • Answer:

In terms of the first one, you can get a very similar guitar in terms of quality for a LOT less money, trust me on that one! You shouldn't have to dish out that kinda loot unless its a collectors or your in a super successful band. I'd go with the second one. you have more pick up options and depending on the amp and your skill level, it'll sound very similar to the previous one we mentioned. It also looks better, which is important if you are a live musician, etc.
