Can lifecam vx-800 take pictures?

I just purchased a Canon ELPH 300-HS and got a 16GB memory card. How many pictures can I take with 16MB?

  • I have a Sandisk 16GB memory card and I was wondering how many photos can I take with it? On my old Sony Cybershot, I used to be able to see how many pictures I can take with it on the LCD display screen but on this Canon, it only shows how long I can shoot movies. I don't take movies much at all so I guess my question is how can I change the remaining time to how many pictures I can take..... Thanks!

  • Answer:

For every 1 GB on a card, supports about 250 photos. So for a 16 GB, it will hold about 4,000 photos, but that's without using the card for movies (as that will take up much more space)

It depends. I'm surprised that it does not show shots left, maybe you are in movie mode? Only you can find out how many photos you can hold. With one of the photos on your computer, look at the file size of one photo. How many megabytes is it? 3 or 4 megabytes? More or less? There are 1,000 megabytes in every GB, so do that math, there is your answer.

Put your 16GB card into the camera Switch on camera Look at screen for a number - that is the number of shots left on the card. If you don't know which number it is then the answer is in the manual.
