Can i play minecraft on alienware m17x ?

I have bought an alienware last week but I'm not sure if I can play minecraft. This is my little bit detail about my laptop Intel core 2nd generation i7 extreme edition Graphic card nvidia geforce gtx 590 with crossfire radeon HD 6980 Ram 8gb Hard drive 1tb Help me please!!!!!

Your rig is almost as good as mine, but unfortunately I don't believe you'll be able to run minecraft. Try terraria instead. I hear it's like minecraft, but 2d. It'll be easier on your machine.

Yes, it can run Minecraft fine. Minecraft isn't even super intensive. I have no idea what these other people are talking about I own an m14x (the smaller, weaker version) and it runs Minecraft just fine.
